Case Results

Below is an overview of the categories of personal injury cases we handle for clients throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe counties, and the kinds of results we work to obtain. Specific verdict and settlement amounts are not published on this page because The Florida Bar requires that any advertised case result be accompanied by detailed, verified information about each case, and because every case is different. Past results — ours or any other lawyer's — never guarantee a future outcome. We would be glad to discuss the results we have achieved in cases similar to yours during a free consultation.

Motor Vehicle Crashes

We have represented drivers, passengers, motorcyclists, pedestrians, and bicyclists injured in crashes throughout South Florida — on I-95, the Palmetto, the Dolphin Expressway, US-1, and the dense surface streets of Brickell, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, and Downtown Miami. We have recovered policy-limits settlements from primary and excess auto carriers and have successfully invoked uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage when the at-fault driver was uninsured or judgment-proof.

Construction and Workplace Injuries

We have handled serious injury cases for South Florida construction workers, warehouse workers, and trade contractors, including parallel workers' compensation claims under Chapter 440 and third-party negligence claims against general contractors, subcontractors, property owners, and equipment manufacturers. The third-party recoveries are typically a multiple of what the workers' compensation system alone would have paid.

Slip, Trip, and Fall Cases

We have prosecuted falls in grocery stores, restaurants, hotels, condominium common areas, big-box retailers, and shopping malls throughout Miami-Dade and Broward. Florida's constructive-knowledge statute (§ 768.0755) makes these cases difficult, but we have repeatedly obtained meaningful recoveries by acting quickly to preserve surveillance video, store sweep logs, prior-incident reports, and witness testimony.

Medical Malpractice and Birth Injuries

We have handled cases involving surgical errors, missed diagnoses, medication errors, emergency-department malpractice, and birth-related injuries. Florida medical malpractice law is technically demanding — pre-suit expert affidavits, the 90-day notice period, and the four-year statute of repose all create traps for the unwary — and our pre-suit investigations have resulted both in successful resolutions and, in some cases, the early identification of claims that should not be pursued.

Nursing Home Neglect and Abuse

We have represented families of South Florida nursing-home and assisted-living-facility residents in cases involving pressure injuries (bedsores), falls, elopements, untreated infections, dehydration, malnutrition, medication errors, and physical abuse. Florida's Resident's Bill of Rights under Chapter 400 provides a strong statutory basis for these claims.

Catastrophic and Wrongful Death Cases

The most serious cases we handle involve traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, severe burns, amputation, and Florida Wrongful Death Act claims for the surviving family members of fatal-injury victims. These cases require extensive medical, vocational, and economic expert work to establish the lifetime cost of care and lost earning capacity.

Insurance Bad Faith and Property Claims

We have pursued bad-faith claims against Florida auto and property carriers that delayed, lowballed, or denied valid claims, including hurricane-damage claims and underinsured-motorist disputes.

Past Results Disclaimer

Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Each case is unique and depends on its own facts, the available insurance and assets, the venue, the assigned judge, and many other variables. The fact that we have obtained good results in past cases is not a promise that we can do so in yours. We can, however, promise that we will evaluate your case honestly and tell you what we believe it is worth — even if that is "nothing."
